Get to know Ed a little

Ed loves the Lord. He came to faith in 1995, and it was a radical decision. No turning back. He went on to serve in church for 14 years before accepting the call of God to become a missionary preacher. He loves expositional preaching but can also mix some contemporary topical topics in the service. Ed Preaches lively with a healthy mix of illustrations but exposes the Word of God

Ed Preaches in English and Spanish. Ed loves to sing and make a joyful noise to the Lord.

 

Did I say it?

Ed loves to sing.He loves such a wide variety of music that you cannot keep up! He worships with hymns mixed with Bible-based modern worship music.



He loves hip hop, Salsa, Merengue, classical music, and anything with rytme.

Ed is very committed to the Word of God, to the truth, to his wife and daughters, and to practicing spiritual disciplines like fasting, praying, reading, solitude, frugality, and celebration.



Ed speaks up against violence, racial issues, materialism, superficial Christian living, debt-free living, and the need for prayer and Bible reading.One of Ed’s gifts is to disciple people. He chooses to do one-on-one discipleship training and help grow God’s kingdom. Ed’s heart is to share the gospel continuously. He goes on missions and supports missions.

 

Ed Speak Dutch, Spanish, Papiamentu, and English. He is also trained in the languages Greek and Hebrew.

 

 

 

Many men have poured into the life of Ed to help him grow as a man
of God. His pastors and mentors, especially pastor Calvin Varlack who
was the first to recognize that Ed was an evangelist; Dr. Tim Sisk from
Moody Bible Institute, who shared his pulpit with Ed to help him grow;

Dr. Bill Bertsche Executive Pastor Moody Church, who prayed and
coached and Professor Dr. Wong Loi Sing who taught Old Testament in the
Moody Bible Institute

Ed graduated from the Moody Theological Seminary. MDIV in 2019, He
also got another master’s in Intercultural Studies in 2016. He holds a
bachelor’s from Moody in Pastoral studies and is currently working
towards his doctoral as a Pastoral Counselor.

Ed has been married for 25 years to Luisette Kraal, and together, they have one daughter Johanna who is leaving for college.
